<RecipeText>1	1. Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat. Parboil the yams until they are no longer crisp, but will not break apart, about 8 minutes. Peel and core the apples and cut them into 1/2&quot; wide wedges.
2	2. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onion and cook over medium-low heat until very soft and juicy, about 10 minutes. Add the apples and yams; dust with cinnamon.
3	3. Increase the heat to high and saute until the ingredients are attractively browned. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
