Nutmeg Method: Cream shortening, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Sift to-gether flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 Degree F. for 8-10 minutes. Yield: 3 Dozen Cookies. Note: 6 T.
