<RecipeText>Sift flour, sugar &amp; salt in bowl.  Cut in butter. 
 Dissolve 1 tsp. sugar in water.  Sprinkle in yeast.  Let stand.
Scald milk, cool to lukewarm.  When cool,, blend in egg yolk
Stir yeast &amp; add to milk mixture.  Blend.
Add all to dry mix all at once.  Stir till well blended.  
Cover bowl with wax paper and cloth.  Chill 2 hours.
Roll dough 1/3&quot; thick.  cut in strips 6 - 8&quot; long.  Twist from centre and coil to end.
Bake 15 - 20 min. @ 375 deg. F. on an ungreased pan.  Ice while warm with icing sugar and water.  Sprinkle with nuts.
