Simple Low-Fat Chili

3 pounds 90% | lean ground beef, or ground turkey |
2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) | diced tomatoes, undrained |
2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) | chili beans, undrained |
2 cups | sliced onions |
1 can (12 oz) | yellow corn, drained |
1 cup | chopped green bell pepper |
1 can (8 oz) | tomato sauce |
3 TBSP | Chili powder |
1 tsp | garlic powder |
1/2 tsp | ground cumin |
1/2 tsp | dried oregano |
1 - Heat large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef. Cook and stir until browned. Drain and discard excess fat. Transfer to 5-quart CROCK-POT slow cooker.
2 - Add tomatoes with juice, beans, onions, corn, bell pepper, tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin and oregano. Cover; cook on LOW 4 hours.
