<RecipeText>Combine all ingredients except salmon in a saucepan and simmer for 45 minutes. Do not boil. Make sure sugar dissolves completely. Cool.

Marinate steaks 4 hours in sauce. Bake in oiled glass dish in oven at 400 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes, or grill over hot coals until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. </RecipeText>
