1/4 c. | soy sauce |
1/8 tsp. | garlic powder |
1/2 tsp. | ginger |
1/4 c. plus 1 T. | sugar |
3/8 c. | cooking sherry |
1/8 tsp. | onion powder |
1/4 c. | brown sugar |
8 small | salmon steaks |
Combine all ingredients except salmon in a saucepan and simmer for 45 minutes. Do not boil. Make sure sugar dissolves completely. Cool.
Marinate steaks 4 hours in sauce. Bake in oiled glass dish in oven at 400 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes, or grill over hot coals until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
