Pork and Kraut a la Budapest

2 larger onions, sliced | |
2 tablespoons | butter |
1 lb | pork, cut into 1" cubes |
1 teaspoon | salt |
3 teaspoon | paprika |
1 teaspoon | caraway seeds |
1 large can | beer |
2 lbs | sauerkraut, drained |
1 cup | sour cream |
Saute onions in butter. Add pork and salt. Add paprika and caraway seeds. Add half the beer and simmer 45 minutes, adding more beer as needed. Add sauerkraut. Add sour cream.
