1/2 cup | soft shortening |
2 tablespoon | sugar |
1 | egg |
1 cup | dark molasses |
1 cup | boiling water |
2 1/4 cup | flour |
1 teaspoon | baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon | salt |
1 teaspoon | ginger |
1 teaspoon | cinnamon |
Mix together shortening, sugar, and egg. Blend in molasses and boiling water. Blend dry ingredients together. Add to wet ingredients. Beat together all until smooth. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 9 x 1 3/4 inch pan for 45-50 minutes. Topping | |
