| 1/3 cup | shortening |
| 1/3 cup | butter |
| 1/2 cup | sugar |
| 1/2 cup | brown sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 teaspoon | vanilla |
Mix together
Add 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Throughly work in 1/2 cup walnuts, 6 ounces semisweet chocolate pieces.
Bake 375°
