    1 teaspoon  grated galangal, fresh or frozen or 2 inch piece dried
    1 teaspoon  curry powder
    1 3/4 cup  coconut milk
    1 teaspoon  ground turmeric
    1 teaspoon  fish sauce
    1 1/4 lb.  flank steak
    15-20  skewers

Heat oil, saute garlic until brown, do not burn. In small bowl, combine garlic, oil, with coconut milk, stir to blend.
