34. Dry Sauted Potatoes (Sukhe-Aloo-Nepali)

1 lb | potatoes |
3 tablespoons | butter |
1 | onion |
l/2 teaspoon turmeric | |
1/2 tablespoon | coriander leaves, chopped |
1/4 teaspoon | cumin seed |
Salt to taste | |
pinch | chilli |
Utensils Big bowl-1, frying pan-1, tablespoon-1
Process
Wash and peel potatoes. Cut into quarters. Heat butter and fry onion till it becomes brown. Add cumin, turmeric, coriander, and potatoes, Mix well and fry for ten
minutes on low heat. Stir frequently. cook till potatoes are done. Put salt and chilli about 10 minutes before theY are cooked.
Yield: 2-4 servings.
