2. Fish Deep Fry (Beskari tareko machha-Nepali)

1 lb | fish |
1/4 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
1 piece | 2.5 cm. ginger grated |
1 teaspoon | salt |
1 | egg |

Oil for deep frying |
Utensils pan-1, flat perforated spoon-l, bowl-1.
Cut fish into 6-8 pieces. Wash. Add salt, turmeric, onion and to fish. Marinate for 2-4 hours. Cover fish pieces with bread crumbs, clip into beaten egg and again wrap in bread crumbs (a little bit of gram flour made into paste can also be used for further, after dipping it in beaten egg and bread crumbs). Heat oil and drop pieces of fish for frying till they become brown. lhree or four pieces can be fried at a time. Serve hot.
Yield: 2-3 servings
