Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

1/2 cup | white sugar |
1/2 cup | white vinegar |
1 teaspoon | kosher salt |
1 teaspoon | dry mustard |
2 teaspoons | fresh grated sweet onion |
1 cup | vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon | poppy seeds |
Directions
You will need a clean pint mason jar with ring and lid. You will also need a blender or food processor to complete this recipe. In a blender or food processer add all ingredients except vegetable oil and poppy seeds, blend in 3 or 4 short pulses. Slowly add oil while mixing on medium speed for about 45 seconds.
Pour the mixture into the Mason jar and add poppy seeds. Stir until well mixed. It is now ready to use.

This dressing pairs well with fruit and nuts!! I love it with strawberries and pecans
