Green beans w Roquefort and Walnuts

1 lb | fresh green beans, trimmed |
4 | thick bacon slices, cut into 1/4 " pieces |
4 oz | Roquefort cheese, crumbled |
1 c | walnuts, toasted |
1/4 t | salt |
1/4 t | pepper |
Place beans in boiling water to cover in lg saucepan. Simmer 3 mins or until crisp tender. Drain, rinse w cold water and set aside.
Cook bacon pieces in lg skillet over med heat 5-7 mins or until crisp. Remove bacon w slotted spoon and drain on paper towels, reserving the drippings in skillet.
Sauté beans in hot drippings for 2 mons or until heated. Sprinkle w cheese and cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds or until cheese engines to melt. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts, salt, pepper and bacon. Serve immediately.
