Speedy Pecan Sweet Rolls

3 1/2 - 4 cups | flour |
2 packages | quick yeast |
1 teaspoon | salt |
3/4 cup | water |
1/2 cup | milk |
2 tablespoons | honey |
2 tablespoons | butter |
1 | egg |
1/3 cup | sugar |
1 tablespoon | cinnamon |
2 tablespoons | margarine, softened |
1/2 cup | brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup | margarine |
3 tablespoons | honey |
1/2 cup | pecan halves |
Directions:
In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast & salt; mix well.
In saucepan, heat water, milk, honey and 2 tablespoons butter until warm (120-130 degrees). Add to flour mixture. Add egg.
Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
By hand gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth & elastic (5 minutes)
Place in greased bowl, turning greased side to top. Cover; let rise in warm place about 20 minutes.
FILLING:
Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon; set aside
TOPPING:
Sprinkle brown sugar in well greased 9x13 inch pan. Cut 1/4 cup margarine into small pieces and sprinkle evenly over brown sugar. Drizzle with honey. Sprinkle nuts on top.
ROLLS:
Punch down dough. On floured surface, roll dough to 15" x 12" rectangle. Spread with soft margarine. Sprinkle with filling. Start with shorter side; roll tightly. Pinch edge to seal. Cut into 12 slices; place on topping in pan. Cover with damp cloth or plastic wrap sprayed with Pam. Let rise 20 minutes then bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown. As soon as rolls are removed from oven, invert pan on plate to cool.
