| 1 | egg |
| 1 cup | milk |
| 4 tbs. | liquid shortening |
| 2 cups | flour |
| 2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 2 tbs. | sugar |
In small bowl beat egg until foamy. Add milk and shortening. Stiff flour, powder, salt, and sugar. Mix with egg mixture only to dampen. Pour into greased muffin pan. 1/2 mixture, tsp jelly, 1/2 mixture. Bake 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 12
