Banana Oatmeal Muffins

1 C | rolled oats |
1 C | milk |
2 C | flour |
1/2 C | sugar |
5 t | baking powder |
1 t | baking soda |
1 t | salt |
1/2 t | cinnamon |
1/4 t | nutmeg |
1/4 C | margarine, melted and cooled |
2 | eggs |
2 t | vanilla |
2 C | bananas, mashed, (4-5 med.) |
2 C | chocolate chips |
Combine oats and milk and set aside.
In large bowl, combine the next 7 ingredients.
To soaked mixture, add margarine, eggs, vanilla and bananas.
Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir only until the flour is moistened. Stir in chocolate chips.
Fill greased muffin cups and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
