Milan Style Rice

    1 cup  regular rice
    1 small  onion chopped
    2 cups  water
    Dash  turmeric
    3 Tbs.  margarine
    2 tsp.  chicken broth bouillon
    1/4 tsp.  salt
    1/4 cup  grated Parmesan cheese

Cook and stir margarine, onions and rice until rice is golden brown. Stir in water, bouillon, salt, and turmeric. Heat to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 14 minutes. Don't peek. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese lightly with a fork, cover and let steam for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve rice with additional cheese if desired. Good with fish, pork, and chicken.
