Baked Ziti

1 lb. | dry ziti pasta |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 lb. | lean ground beef |
1 (26 oz.) jar | spaghetti sauce |
6 ounces | Provolone cheese, sliced |
1 1/2 cups | sour cream |
6 ounces | mozzarella cheese, shredded |
2 Tbsp. | graded Parmesan cheese |
Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about eight minutes, drain.
In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer about 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-by-13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: half of the ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream, half the sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake covered with casserole lid or tin foil for 30-40 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and it is bubbly throughout.
