Home style beef barley soup

Ingredients: | |
7 cups | water |
3 (10-1-2 ounce) cans | condensed beef broth |
1 lb. | beef stew meat, cut into one inch cubes |
2 large | onions, chopped |
1 lb. | sliced fresh mushrooms |
4 medium | carrots, sliced |
1 (14-1/2ounce) can | diced, tomatoes drained |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | black pepper |
1 cup | quick cooking pearl barley |
Instructions;
1- in a souplike, combine all the ingredients except the barley; cover, and bring to a boil over high heat.
2- reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
3- add the barley and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the barley is tender.
