1 package | Beef Flavored Rice a Roni |
1 lb. | Ground Beef |
1 | Egg |
Mix the rice & veramelli from the Rice a Roni box with the ground beef and the egg. Form into large meatballs.
Brown on all sides in a skillet. Mix the flavor packet with the recommended amount of water, (from the Rice a Roni Box instructions) and add to the meatballs.
Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Just before serving, you can bring the liquid back up to a boil and, stirring constantly, sprinkle some Wondra flour into the liquid to thicken it.
(Or, the old-fashioned way; ~1/2 cup cold water, mix in ~ 2 Tbsp. Flour. Mix well and add it to the boiling liquid stirring constantly.
