    3 pounds  fresh beef brisket
    1/2 cup  packed brown sugar
    1 packet  Original Lipton onion soup mix
    1/2 teaspoon  garlic powder
    3/4 cup  catsup

Place a large sheet of foil in your roaster and place the meat in the center. Mix the ingredients and pour over the top. Fold the foil around as if you are wrapping a sandwich ... Sealing securely but leaving some air space.
Bake at 325 degrees for 3 1/2 hours.
Place brisket on platter and slice with the grain. Skim the fat from the sauce and serve in a gravy boat along with the meat. Serves 10

Make ahead: Do all the above and then store in separate containers for up to 2 days. Transfer the meat to an 8x8 baking dish, pour on the sauce, cover and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes
