Winter Fruit Salad

A seasonal fruit salad of apples, pears, strawberries, and bananas. Dietary Exchanges 1 fruit | |
8 medium | apples , cored and diced, (Gala apples preferred) |
8 | Pears, fresh, medium, USDA Commodity Commodity , cored and diced |
4 cup | fresh sliced strawberries, stems removed |
2 cup | Juice, orange, fresh |
1 cup | fresh lemon juice |
1 pinch | sweetener, (sugar substitute) , to taste (optional) |
4 | Banana, medium, fresh , sliced |
1 In large serving bowl, place all fruit (except bananas) and juices.
2 Add sugar substitute, if using. Gently mix.
3 If making ahead of time, cover and chill for 4 to 8 hours, but no longer.
4 Just before serving, add banana slices.
