    1 c.  finely chopped onion
    1/4 c.  minced fresh cilantro
    2 Tb.  fresh lime juice
    1/2 tsp.  salt
    1/4 tsp.  ground cumin
    1/4 tsp.  fresh ground black pepper
    2   ripe peeled avocados, seeded and coarsely mashed
    12 oz.  unsalted baked tortilla chips

Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well. Cover and chill. Serve with chips
