| Pastry for one crust pie (I usually make 2 crust recipe and freeze half for another tome) | |
| 6 slices | smoky bacon, cut up |
| 1 large | onion, chopped |
| 1 | sweet pepper, pref red(optional) |
| 8 oz | cheese, grated, pref Edam or emmenthal or a mixture |
| 4- 6 | eggs, depending on size |
| 8-10 oz | cream |
| Salt | |
| pepper | |
| pinch | nutmeg |
Line pie plate with pastry.
Add cheese, onion mixture and then top with cheese.
Beat eggs well and then add salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add cream and mix well.
Pour over rest and bake at 200C for 45-60 minutes.
