Ingredients
    3  eggs, (yolks) beaten
    1/2 tsp.  salt
    2/3 cup  sugar
    1-1/2 cup  milk
    3 Tbsp.  flour
    1/2 cup  granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp.  butter

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 325*F.

Cook egg yolks, salt, 2/3 cup sugar, milk, and flour until custard consistency and remove from heat (use iron skillet).

In another small pan, brown 1/2 cup sugar and 2 Tbsp. butter. Once brown, slowly pour into custard mixture, beating constantly. Pour into unnamed pie shell. Bake at 325*F until set (about 45 minutes). Cover with meringue and bake until brown.
