2 | frozen pie shells |
1.5 to 2 pounds | ground beef |
1 | chopped onion, (or 1 T. minced) |
1 pkg | Spanish Rice, (Rice-a-Roni) |
2- 15oz | cans tomato sauce |
3 cups | shredded cheddar cheese |
sour cream | |
salsa |
Poke holes in bottom of pie crusts and bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350. Brown onion and ground beef, drain and set aside. Bring tomato sauce to boil and add rice (including season packet). Cook about 15 min. stirring frequently until rice is tender. Mix rice and meat and pour into pie shells. Top with cheese. Bake another 5 - 10 min. until cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream and salsa.
