Beery Beefy Stew

1 kg | blade steak |
1 TB | sunflower oil |
Flour for dusting meat | |
3 large | onions, sliced |
4 garlic cloves roughly chopped | |
1 TB | brown sugar |
300 ml | beef stock |
525 mls of beer (any will do) | |
2 TB | tomato paste or 1 tsp Worcester sauce and 1 TB Thai chilli sauce |
Heat the oil and fry floured beef in batches
Put aside and then put onions, brown sugar and 1 C stock into pan and cook until onions sticky
Add 125 ml beer and simmer until reduced by half. Place onion mix in crockpot warmed up on high.
Add meat, Tom paste, 100 ml beef stock, and 400 ml beer.
Cook on high for 6 hours or so.
