      salted butter
      plain flour
      caster sugar
      black cherry jam
      glace cherries
      margarine
      caster sugar
      self raising flour
      cocoa powder
      egg
      low fat milk
      plain chocolate
      golden syrup
      glace cherries

7x11x1.2 in tin, lightly greased
180C

Make base
Rub butter into flour until sticky, stir in sugar and press evenly into tin
bake in centre oven for 20 mins. Spread with jam and sprinkle halved cherries over.

Filling
Spread carefully over base.
Bake in centre oven for 35 mins until firm and springy. Allow to cool completely before adding topping

Topping
Place chocolate and syrup in bowl and melt. Spread over cake. Allow to cool- it does not completely harden - then cut into triangles.
Decorate with cherries.
