<RecipeText>In a large sauce pan heat butter (oil) and add the oats. Stir for two minutes to toast. Carfully add boiling water and reduce heat to a simmer. Keep at a low simmer for 25 minutes. Do not stir.
Combine milk and half of the buttermilk with the oatmeal. Gently stir to combine and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Spoon into a serving bowl and top with remaining buttermilk, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

5/19/11 I made with oil instead of butter, no additional ingredients just stirred after 25 minutes simmered for 30 minutes total. Topped with scant 1/4 cup 2% milk, 1Tbsp sucralose,  1Tbsp raisins and a sprinkle of cinnamon. tasted good.
