Apple Fritters

3/4 C | flour. 1 egg |
1 tsp | baking powder. 1/2 C milk |
1/8 tsp | salt. 1 C apples, peeled and cubed |
1/4 C | sugar |
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Beat egg well and add milk. Add this mixture to dry ingredients mixing well. Add the apples and mix. Drop into heated fat or shortening (about 370). Cook until golden brown as a doughnut. May be rolled in sugar after cooking, if desired.
