Black Bean Brownies

1 cup | Black Beans, rinsed, drained and pursed in food processor |
1/2 cup | cocoa |
1/2 cup | butter |
margarine, alternative | |
2 cups | white sugar |
4 | eggs |
2/3 cup | all-purpose flour |
1 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | baking powder |
Chocolate frosting, (optional) |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, mix cocoa, butter, sugar, black bean puree and eggs until well blended. Sift dry ingredients together and stir until wet mixture.
Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan with cooking spray and pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until done.
If desired, top with your favorite chocolate frosting.
