Source:
1 lb | Ziti, (I have trouble finding Ziti so I use Penne, the smaller ones) |
1 lb | ground beef |
½ package | sweet Italian Sausage |
½ package | hot Italian Sausage |
4 to 5 jars | Ragu, (mix the flavors) or what ever type jar sauce you want |
1 | beer |
1 large | onion chopped small |
15 oz | Ricotta Whole Milk |
1 | egg |
Garlic powder | |
1 lb | Mozzarella Whole Milk |
Preheat over to 350°
Boil pasta one minute less the time stated on the box and drain.
Dump the Ragu in a large pot on medium low heat, pour some beer in each empty sauce jar and put the lid back on and shake to rinse the jar and dump that in the pot too.
Brown the ground beef, onion and sausage (squeeze the sausage out of the casing and brown too, braking into small pieces. I normally do the beef and onions together and sausage separately, only because I can’t get them in the same frying pan.
Drain the meat than add the meat into the sauce.
Pam the pan or casserole dish you are going to bake the Ziti in.
Put some sauce on the bottom of the pan.
Add pasta to the pan.
Pour enough sauce on the pasta to mix well (make it a bit saucy the pasta will absorb some of the sauce.
In a bowl scramble the egg and add to the Ricotta, sprinkle with the Garlic Powder and mix well.
Add the egg ricotta mix into the pasta and stir in.
Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes at 350°
