    1 qt  rhubarb, diced
    1 qt  onions, finely cut
    1 pint  vinegar
    1 lb  brown sugar
    1 tsp  salt
    1 tsp  pepper
    1 tsp  whole cloves
    1 tsp  whole alspice

Cook rhubarb and onions in vinegar for about 20 minutes. Add sugar, salt, pepper, and the spices which have tied in a spice bag. Boil half an hour longer. Bottle
