1/2 cup | margarine |
1 1/2 cups | sugar |
2 | egg |
2 squares | chocolate, melted |
1/2 cup | milk |
1 3/4 cups | flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons | cream of tartar |
3/4 cup | boiling water |
1 teaspoon | baking soda |
Cream margarine and sugar, add eggs. Stir in cooled chocolate. Add sifted ingrediants alternately with milk. Add 1/2 cup of water. Dissolve soda in remaining 1/4 cup of water. Bake layers at 325 degrees for 35 minutes; cupcakes 25 minutes.
