3 cups | unbleached all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting the board |
3/8 teaspoon | baking soda |
1 1/2 tablespoons | baking powder, (use one without aluminum) |
1 1/2 teaspoons | kosher salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons | salt, alternative |
9 tablespoons | unsalted butter, very cold |
1 1/2 cups | buttermilk, (approx) |
Mix dry ingredients in food processor, add cut butter and mix until you have a cornmeal consistency. Place in a mixing bowl and form a well in the center. Pour buttermilk in mell an mix. Press dough out by hand (not rolling pin) fold on itself 4x. Use cutter to cut out biscuits. Bake 450* for 10min
