| Old Fashion Sugar Cookies 350 for 8-10 min | |
| 1C | granulated auger |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 3/4Cup | soft butter |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | grated fresh lemon rind |
| Combine following dry ingredients: | |
| 1 tsp | baking powder |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 3C | sifted flour |
| Cream sugar, salt and butter well add egg and beat then blend in lemon and vanilla Gradually add sifted dry ingredients roll on floured board 1/4" thick and cut into shapes and bake when cool coat with glaze and sprinkle with deco sugar Glaze | |
| 1 1/2C | confectioners sugar blended into 1slightly beaten egg white |
plus 1 T melted butter, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/2tsp vanilla
beat well by hand
