    6 slices  thick bread
    4  eggs
    1.5 Cups  Half and Half or Milk
    1.2 teaspoon  Nutmeg
    1 teaspoon  Vanilla
    1 teaspoon  Sugar
    1 Pinch  Salt
    1/2 tablespoon  butter
    4 tablespoons  butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wisk eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, nutmeg, vanilla, sugar and salt in a bowl. Heat butter in a non stick skillet. Dip bread into egg mixture and cook in skillet until golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Place slices on a baking sheet and bake until puffed, 8 to 10 minutes. Melt 4 tables spoons of butter in skillet and drizzle over toast.
