    1 lb  asparagus pieces
    1/4 cup  slivered almonds
    2 Tbsp  butter
    1 tsp  grated lemon zest
      Salt
      pepper to taste

1. Steam asparagus for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender.
2. Sauté slivered almonds in butter until golden brown.
3. Top asparagus with almonds, lemon zest, and salt and pepper to taste.
