    3 cups  flour
1/2 teas salt
    3 tb  sugar
1 teas baking powder
    1 cup  soft oleo
    2  egg yolks
    8 tb  water
mix dry ingredients until well blended. Cut in oleo. in a separate bowl, mix egg yolks and water, add to flour mixture. Mix well until dough forms a ball. separate into 2 balls . roll out one ball to cover a cookie sheet. Place on a cookie sheet for bottom crust. Arrange fruit filing on bottom crust Roll out 2nd ball of dough for top crust and place over fruit. Pinch edges together, bake at 350 for about one hour, Cool and frost with powdered sugar glaze. filling-
    14-16 medium  tart apples
    2 tb  flour
    1 1/2-2 cups  sugar
1/2 teas cinnamon
    2 tb  butter
    2 tb  lemon juice
peel core and chop apples and place on bottom crust. blend flour and sugar, sprinkle apples with flour mixture and cinnamon. dot with butter and lemon juice. powdered sugar glaze:
    2 cups  powdered sugar
    1 tsp  softened butter
    4 tsp  water
blend sugar and butter, then add water. streusel topping
    1 cup  flour
    1 tsp  cinnamon
    2/3 cup  brown sugar
    2/3 cup  butter

prepare only 1/2 pastry recipe. arrange fruit on crust. sift flour and cinnamon together, stir in sugar. cream butter until soft then work into the flour mixture. sprinkle over fruit filling.
