| 3 cups | flour |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 2 tsp. | baking powder |
| 1 tsp. | baking soda |
| 1/4 tsp. | ground nutmeg |
| 1/4 tsp. | ground cloves, optional |
| 1/4 tsp. | ground cinnamon |
| 1 cup | butter milk |
| 3 | eggs |
| 1/2 cup | butter melted |
| Glaze | |
| 1 cup | icing sugar |
| 2 tbsp. | hot water |
| 1/2 tsp. | almond extract, optional |
1. Per heat oven to 325 f. Lightly grease the donut baking pan. Mix all dry ingredients. Mix buttermilk, eggs and melted butter in a separate medium bowl, and stir into the dry ingredients.,fill each donut cup approx 3/4 full. Bake 10-12 min.
2. Blend glaze ingredients together. Dip donuts in glaze before serving. Can also dust with icing sugar and cinnamon. Or stir in 1/2 cup melted chocolate to glaze.
