INGREDIENTS:
    1 cup  Butter, softened
    3 oz  Cream Cheese, softened
    1 cup  Sugar
    2¾ cups  Flour
    ½ tsp  Baking Powder
Raspberry Preserves
      Confectioner's Sugar

DIRECTIONS:
Cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Mix both butter mixture and the flour mixture together, wrap in saran wrap and chill overnight. The following day, roll out 1/2 of the dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut one-half of that dough with circular cookie cutter into round discs. Cut the other half into discs with the center also cut out. Bake them both for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.

When cooked and cooled, spread the full round discs with raspberry preserves. Top with the "wreath-like" cut-out discs. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.

Repeat with the other half of the dough.

Makes about 3 dozen completed cookies.
