| 1 cup | butter |
| 2 cups | sugar |
| 2 teas vanilla extract | |
| 4 | eggs |
| 3/4 cup | cocoa |
| 1 cup | flour |
| 1/2 teas baking powder 1/4 teas salt | |
| 1 cup | chopped nuts optional |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9 pan. In large bowl microwave butter until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time beating well with wooden spoon after each addition. Add cocoa, beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and salt, beat well.
Stir in nuts if desired. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Makes about 36 brownies.
