Burnt Sugar Frosting

1 cup | sugar |
1/4 cup | Burnt Sugar Syrup |
2 T. | water |
2 T. | light corn syrup |
1/8 t. | salt |
2 | egg whites |
1 t. | vanilla |
Combine first 6 ingredients in top of double boiler over boiling water. Beat rapidly with electric mixer for 7 to 8 minutes, or until mixture forms stiff peaks. Remove from heat and beat in vanilla. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.
