Amish Friendship Banana Bread | |
2 | very ripe bananas, mashed |
1/3 cup | vegetable oil |
1 rounded cup all-purpose flour | |
1/3 cup | light brown sugar |
white sugar, alternative | |
2 | eggs |
¾ teaspoons | baking powder |
¼ teaspoon | baking soda |
1 tablespoons | buttermilk powder, (optional) |
¼ teaspoon | salt |
2 tablespoons Myer’s rum or banana liquer | |
1/2 cup | Amish Starter |
1/2 cup | chopped pecans |
Combine all ingredients. Turn into a well greased and floured loaf pan, flatten. Bake slightly in the center. Bake 350 degrees about 50 minutes.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Run butter knife around edges and turn from pan. Spread butter on top of loaf if desired.
