| ¼ cup | minced garlic |
| 1 c | Diced carrots |
| 1 c | Yellow split peas |
| 4 | Sweet potato, peeled & diced |
| ½ c | diced celery |
| ½ c | diced leeks |
| ¼ q chopped parsley | |
| 1 qt | Vegetable broth |
| 1 | bay leaves |
| ½ T | thyme |
| 2 t | lite soy sauce |
| ½ t | black peppercorns, ground |
| 2 t | shallots |
Procedure:
Cook vegetables, split peas and spices in vegetable broth 1 hour covered.
Add lemon juice and puree. Garnish with chopped parsley.
