    2 cups  white sugar, carmelized
    1 1/2 qt  water
    1/2 cup  sugar
    1/2 tsp  salt

Thicken with cornstarch. Cook until cornstarch is done, then add 1 Tbsp vinegar, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp cinnamon (dissolve this in boiling water) and a piece of butter as large as an egg.
