1/2 cup | butter |
1/4 cup | sugar |
2 tbsp | cocoa |
1 | egg |
2 cups | graham cracker crumbs |
1 cup | shredded coconut |
1 cup | toasted, chopped nut of your choice ( walnuts ) |
Layer 2 | |
1/4 cup | half and half cream |
2 tbsp | custard powder |
3 tbsp | butter |
1 tsp | pure vanilla extract |
2 cups | sifted icing sugar |
Layer 3 | |
5 oz | semi- sweet chocolate |
2 tbsp | butter |
Direction:
Layer 1
Soften butter in a double boiler , add sugar , coca , and egg , and then heat until slightly thickened.
Stir in the rest ingredients , and press mixture into a 9-inch square pan , chill for 15 minutes
Layer 2
Mix ingredients together and spread evenly over first layer , chill for 15 minutes
Layer 3
Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth and spread over second layer
Chill 15 minutes
Score top with a sharp knife to make 12 squares , then cut and serve or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze them...
