1 bag | red beans, (if you can’t get red beans, use kidney beans |
onion, chopped | |
garlic, minced | |
bay leaves | |
carrots, sliced | |
ham, cubed | |
water | |
rice, cooked |
rinse beans and put them in a large pot with onion, garlic, bay leaves, carrots, and ham. Add water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, and cook a long time. All day in crock pot or 2-3 hours on the stove.
Serve over rice.
