    1 lg  cabbage
    2  eggs
    1 med  onion
    1.5 lbs  hamburger
    2 cups  rice uncooked
    1 lg can  stewed tomatoes
    1 lg  can tomatoe sauce
    1 sm  can saurkraut
    6 slices  bacon uncooked

Put cabbage in large pot (after cutting a square around the core to loosen leaves).
Cover with water and boil until leaves soften.
Cook rice.
Fry onion in 3 tbs butter until soft.
In a lage bowl mix hamburger (uncooked) 2 eggs, rice, onion, and salt and pepper.
Take one leaf and cut off thick rind.
Wrap leaf around about 2 large tbs of mixture, tuck in ends.
Line roaster with 1/2 bacon, then put in rolls.
Top with other bacon, saurkraut, chop up remaining leaves and add to roaster, then add stewed tomatoes and sauce.
Add more water to cover rolls.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook at 350 covered for 3 hrs or until leaves feel soft with a fork.
Add more water if needed.
